Roaringwater stands beside the broad Ashrun, with the colder Shimmerbrook entering from the east along its northern edge. Wharves, ropework, cart-worn streets, and evening markets give the town its practical character. For travelers, its lanterns and inns promise a pause in a demanding journey.[1]

A stopping place on the road
The company’s arrival brings them through a stone bridge and guarded gate into streets still busy with work. Roaringwater also connects their travels with the road toward Lorchel and Daybreak Pass.
A place to recover and prepare
The Floodmark and its keeper Maret provide rooms and ordinary routine during the company’s returns. The travelers gather news, repair gear, and eventually purchase seven horses before setting out toward Lorchel, Parthal, and the Wastes.
