The Threefold Ward is a working sequence recorded at Dawnwatch Hold: anchor, braid, then banish. Its manual combines diagrams with field corrections, making wardcraft something to practice, inspect, and hand over. The order of the stages matters; release before the supporting braid holds can tear the working.[1]

A taught craft
The manual’s ink contains fine obsidian dust that preserves a trace of the ward structure. Its margins record failures and changes for damaged stone and harsh conditions. The doctrine is carried into the Hold’s stairs, admission systems, regulators, and maintenance stations.

Learning it together[1]
Seating the orb requires the whole company’s contributions: Sylas anchors, Lirael sets the braid, Vahrenai reads and steadies pressure, Brann manages the physical catches, and Elara keeps the measure. Later, repeating the right words at the Circle’s exit is insufficient until they physically close the circuit together.
