The Onyx Road links difficult stretches of the company’s eastward journey. Its legacy includes black paving, waystations, control rings, drainage works, and buried ley-sensitive anchors. Engineering that still matters
The ley work described here supports the route’s stability rather than supplying a general power source. The old pattern remains frayed but usable. A surviving marker or building offers guidance and shelter, yet no ruin guarantees that its water source still holds.
