The containment lattice records relationships among ley branches, junctions, and pressure routes. Its surviving fragments show no ordinary road network or named settlements. Reading it requires other records and knowledge of the structures it describes, making it useful and dangerous in the same measure.[1]

Two fragments[1]
The company removes one protected fragment from beneath Elarisel after discovering that its hiding place is compromised. A second, larger piece comes from a Shroud ambush commander. Lirael’s copied diagrams and Selyna’s old index sequences let them identify Elarisel, Eldergreen’s western-root architecture, and a pressure geometry resembling Myth Celador.
Custody and temptation[1]
Sylas records what they took and intends its return when Elarisel can keep it safely. The originals travel separately, wrapped on opposite sides of his pack so their residual lines cannot answer each other. Selyna cautions that even a council, king, or ambitious mage could turn the knowledge into temptation.
