A COMPANION TO BONDS
This entry follows the subject as it appears in BONDS.
Velmorras is the home Sylas leaves before he grows up in Durnhollow. His memories of the Blackthorn estate include a rose garden, his mother’s study, and Althar’s presence in the household. Those recollections remain emotionally important without telling him the whole story of Elowen’s disappearance.[1]

BONDS presents Velmorras first through Sylas’s past rather than a broad account of its geography or government. It should be understood here as part of his personal history.
