The Gate of Grief is encountered beneath Myth Celador. Its rings, carved channels, and old inscriptions belong to a system of containment older than the city’s later ruin. Understanding which parts still serve that purpose is essential to moving through it.[1]

The projection’s route[1]

Vaeril projects himself through later control knots placed over the older Gate work. The companions remove those additions while preserving the original channels. Their six-person cadence slows the displaced load enough for the old containment to accept it, and the projection loses its route.

Held rather than healed[1]

Defeating the projection does not kill Vaeril, whose bound core remains deeper at the nexus. The Gate still bears damage after the transfer. It opens the way toward the throne level and later remains quiet during the company’s escape.
