A COMPANION TO BONDS

Explore the profile below. Later developments and revelations are gathered in the expandable story section.

Eryndor introduces himself as Seralyth’s chosen and leader of the Green Regents. He is Faelari, with long silver hair, moss-colored eyes, a short bow, and a curved scimitar. He reads the Eldergreen through canopy, birdcall, tracks, and the living ground, and expects strangers to explain themselves before he trusts their purpose.[2]

Appearance and equipment[1]

Eryndor’s green leathers match the leaves and shadows around him. His tall, lithe frame, long silver hair, and moss-colored eyes are seen when he steps out of the undergrowth. He carries a short bow ready in his hand and a curved scimitar at his hip, keeping the bow neither fully lowered nor aimed during his first exchange with Sylas.

Reading the forest[1]

Eryndor reads travel and disturbance through gaps in the canopy, interruptions in bird calls, and ferns bent by passing bodies. His observations complement Selyna’s attention to roots and living currents. He also distinguishes what he last counted from what may have changed since: his report on the stone circle gives numbers and positions while allowing for additional arrivals.

Story & history[2]

Judgment in the field

Eryndor weighs timing, terrain, exhaustion, and what a force can actually accomplish. His care for the forest includes protecting the people whose work holds it together.

The fight for the nexus[2]

After the lesser circle falls, Eryndor stops the exhausted company from pursuing into prepared ground. He later leads the Green Regents against the nexus binding while the Heartwood remains sheltered beneath Ael’Tharun. The aim is to disrupt the ritual’s foci, not to capture and hold the whole site.

What the defense costs[2]

The binding fails, but Talla and Mered do not return. Eryndor acknowledges the cost and remains in the forest to deal with Shroud remnants. He and the surviving rangers escort the company until the ground ahead is quiet enough for them to travel without that protection.
