Ashaford stands among grain fields beside the Nightsea Ride. Modest stone houses, timbered roofs, a bell tower, and an old defensive wall give the town its shape. Its ordinary work, beds, water, and medical care matter deeply to travelers who arrive exhausted.[1]

A lived-in place
The town is introduced through the routines that keep it going: farm repairs, market notices, grain deliveries, cooking fires, and care for the injured. Its people observe the travelers without claiming to understand everything they have survived.

The founding table[1]
The seven companions recover in Ashaford after leaving Myth Celador. They answer the Crescent Accord, record a nearby sympathetic disturbance, and decide to keep working together as the Sentinels of Flame. The name is chosen at an inn table over a practical list of watches, maps, supplies, and responsibilities.
