Term

Current Canon Definition

Aesharath

Foundational Aeshkari unifier figure associated with the later Dominion. Exact ontological status remains intentionally unresolved.

After Dawn

Sentinel institutional year-count. It is not Mortal Reckoning and cannot be converted without an established anchor relationship.

Aeshkar

Native Eldarûnian Demon-kind. They predate the Shatterpoints; later fractures shaped their political history but did not create the species.

Ascendant Age

Broad historical age following the fall of Old God rule and rise of the Eleven, during which divine and ley order increase and mortal civilizations stabilize.

Ashrun

Major west-flowing river system of the Primary Continent and central watershed of current story geography.

Blightcraft

Aeshkari discipline for studying, containing, manipulating, and weaponizing damaged ley states.

Blightfire

Dominion-engineered corrupted ley force used as a persistent war and denial weapon. It is not ordinary fire, divine flame, or Infernari flame.

Circle of the Sign

Formal name of the ancient Zodiac Knight order founded under Aruvond’s witness.

Concordis

Lost or inaccessible observatory-fortress and principal seat of the Circle of the Sign.

Corpse-Line

Ley failure-state in which the metaphysical channel remains but healthy active flow has died.

Deep Root

Primal force of life, continuity, growth, inheritance, and living connection. Not the Rootveil and not a god.

The Eleven

Current ruling pantheon of Eldarûn’s ordered divine age. They did not create the world, ley, or Veil.

First Concord

Historical convention anchoring Mortal Reckoning at 1 MR.

First Divine Age

Age of open Old God rule during the era of raw and unstable ley.

First Rupture

First known cosmic event from which Eldarûn’s world-forming process begins.

Grand Syzygy

Formal astronomical name for the roughly 36.06-year triple lunar eclipse also called the Threefold Dark.

Ley

Non-sentient world-current arising from the interaction of the Primals. Magic is structured interaction with it, not a separate fuel.

Mortal Age

Present broad historical age in which mortal civilizations are the principal agents of recorded political history.

Mortal Reckoning (MR)

Common modern civil historical year-count beginning with the First Concord at 1 MR.

Nexus

Major ley convergence of exceptional scale capable of supporting large systems or catastrophic failure.

Node

Localized concentration within a ley line or branch, smaller than a nexus but often critical to local systems.

Old Gods

First known divine-scale conscious powers of Eldarûn; ancient powers of excess that ruled before the Eleven.

Primals

Deep Root, Worldforge, and Star-Sea: foundational forces of Eldarûn, not gods or personalities.

Rootveil

Vast physical subterranean world beneath the Surface. It is part of Eldarûn, not another plane.

Scarland

Region whose land, ecology, ley, memory, or settlement patterns remain altered by old failure-states.

Shardwake

Population of ancient large fragments and dynamically replenished fine debris associated with shattered Kharos.

Shatterpoint

Region where multiple failure-states overlap so severely that catastrophe becomes lasting geography.

Star-Sea

Primal force of motion, distance, recurrence, and cosmic pattern. Not the literal night sky.

Tazhuran

Ancestral crowned high-civilization lineage of Troll-kind; current canon name superseding the older Zarandari working term.

Threefold Dark

Common name for the Grand Syzygy, a triple total lunar-eclipse event involving Seryn, Nymara, and Kharos.

Veil

Metaphysical boundary condition preserving Eldarûn’s separation from extranatural domains. It is not a casual road or realm.

Worldforge

Primal force of heat, pressure, formation, and material shaping.

World Tree

Rare living nexus-anchor where ley, root, ecology, memory, and long-duration living systems become integrated.

Pronunciation register status: incomplete by design. Add phonetic forms only when Brandon explicitly locks them or a source codex establishes them.
